Honorary Life President
Mr. Peter Hung Hak Hip is the Honorary Chairman of Hop Hing Group of Companies. The Group is engaged in food processing, distribution, and retail businesses in Hong Kong and mainland China including a major vertically integrated oil processing, packing and distribution company. It also operates fast food in the Greater China region. Mr. Hung is a chartered accountant, a visionary entrepreneur, and an active contributor to the food industry in Hong Kong. He is currently the President of The Hong Kong Food Council and was a Member of the Advisory Council on Food and Environmental Hygiene. Mr. Hung has an impressive record in public services as well. He was a former President of The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong and is currently its Permanent Honorary President and the Life Honorary President of Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China – Guangdong. He also served as a Member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council, Competition Policy Review Committee and Hong Kong/Japan Business Co-operation Committee. Mr. Hung has been a staunch supporter of education development in Hong Kong. He is the Honorary Life President of the Youth Arch Foundation, which organizes the annual ‘Hong Kong Outstanding Students Award’ and ‘Youth Arch Student Improvement Award’ for commending secondary school students with excellent performance or impressive improvements. He is also the Chairman of the Lion & Globe Educational Trust. In 2014, Mr. Hung is conferred Honorary University Fellowship by The Open University of Hong Kong.
